FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

I am an oil painter based out of Topeka, Kansas. I've been painting for the better part of my life, and I want to share my love with all of you. I'm a commissioned artist, with a variety of strengths ranging from extreme realism to the surreal and abstract. My focus is oil, though I do work with acrylic paint as well. I have recently discovered my love of molding/modeling paste and plan to work with it much more in the future.

As an artist, I am inspired by the beauty of nature and interested in the nature of existence itself. I want to portray the world in its infinite variety, but also investigate the idea of loss and the good things that can emerge from that. 

 

Everyone is drawn to different things in the art they love, and will develop their own relationship to it. I hope that you find something in my work that resonates for you.
